1. Go through your kitchen and get an idea of what items you will be using in the next few days that are urgently needed (glasses, plates, cutlery, etc.) and which you can do without for a few days.
2. Put the things that you will need to keep using during your move in a separate box, while packing other appliances (like your waffle iron or toaster) in a different box. Meaningful labeling can be of big help here.
3. Take the opportunity and declutter your kitchen in this process. For example in this step it is very easy to get rid of old plastic containers that are broken, yellowed or no longer have a lid.
4. When your boxes are packed, it is best to put all the boxes that do not serve your daily needs in a different room. Those who move usually look forward to the moment when they finally stand in their new home with their boxes and get to take their first deep breath. But which box should you open first? If you have taken precautions and packed a special box with the most necessary items, you will experience your arrival and your first night in your new apartment as much more pleasant. 1. Pack an "Open first" box, so you have items like medication, charging cables, or bathroom necessities at hand
2. Only put the most needed items in here, which you will need immediately after moving in
3. Make sure you don't lose sight of the box and find it again right away
4. It is best to transport this box in a private car so that you do not have to do without it in an emergency.
